Calibre Coffee : Home of Champions

Calibre Coffee has traditionally been home to Talha and his coach Okan, who achieved 2nd place at the World Coffee Roasting Championships in Taiwan this November 2023. Founded as a micro coffee roasting house in Beyoğlu in 2013, the business currently serves in its state-of-the-art operations in Kağıthane.

Okan and Talha's paths first intersect at this small business in Beyoğlu. They have been working together until the pandemic period, and the collaboration, which had a short interruption during this period, is being reshaped with the 2023 Roasting Championship. First, the Izmir roasting finals at a country level, which was a little bit complicated and full of surprises, then the first place, and then the Taiwan finals in a very short time. We hosted them on our Baristatus YouTube channel after all these stages, right after the world championship. We recommend you watch this video for details.

We delivered Baristatus' newest collection Qima's Yemen Al Ruwad XI Alchemy process coffee into the hands of this professional team. They profiled it for us at ROEST and made it ready for roasting. Again, on our Baristatus YouTube channel, we can watch the story of coffee and the profiling and cupping activities we carried out with the Calibre team in the roasting areas.
